How to sign up

To sign up for programs on MSU’s campus, click on the title of the program you would like to register for. This link will take you to an Eventbrite site where you can reserve tickets for your students. Please reserve a ticket for each student and chaperone participating.

Session 1, 9:30 - 10:30 

Exploring Human Ancestors

Grades 5-8

The Human Ancestors Program is an outreach program designed for middle school students to develop and practice introductory skills in biological anthropology, scientific observation, and collaborative research. We provide middle school students with an introduction to Anthropology, the Museum, and STEM careers through interactions with museum specimens and real scientists!

 

Financial Fitness for Students

Grades 9-12

Students will learn about the importance of budgeting and protecting their personal information through fun and interactive conversation and activities!

 

Interactive Tour at the MSU Broad Art Museum

Grades 4-6

On this guided tour, students will explore an art exhibition that asks, "How do we know what is true about an object from the past?" Tours will include interactive discussions and inquiry-based discovery throughout the exhibition.

 

MSU Campus Archaeology

Grades 2-4

Join us for hands-on archaeology activities and learn how we study the past on MSU's campus.

 

Who Will Solve the Problems? And Other Thoughts on Research Science Careers

Grades 4-12

MSU’s National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) is one of the world’s leading rare isotope research facilities. Inside, researchers regularly smash nuclei together at nearly half the speed of light. How? It takes physicists, chemists, mathematicians, plumbers, welders, machinists, computer scientists… find out what kinds of jobs are needed to make cutting-edge science work! Plus: get a preview of the upcoming Facility for Rare Isotope Beams…
