So You Want to Save the Bees? Community Science Projects to Get Involved

Close up of a bee on a purple flower.

Type: Citizen Science Project

Description:
Researchers studying bee distribution and trends in populations have developed some online community science projects to gather data on bees. By entering photos and other information about bees that you see, you can help this effort to understand better which bees are where, and how they are doing. The presentation will start with an overview of what's known about the current status of bees globally, in the U.S., and Michigan, and will provide website links of ongoing efforts to document bee populations. You can be part of this effort!
