Help make the MSU Science Festival awesome! We are looking for a team of energetic, helpful and enthusiastic to support our presenters and patrons this year.

Expo Day Volunteer Opportunities 

It's the moment we've all been waiting for: the MSU Science Festival Expo Days are back live and in-person! Expo Day volunteers will help ensure events run smoothly throughout the April 1 & 2 weekend. 

Visitor Services: Welcoming attendees to the festival, distribute event programs and mpas, and answer questions they might have. 

Survey Team: Help us learn about the festival's impact and how we can improve future festivals by asking visitors to fill out a quick digital survey throughout the Expo Weekend. 

Festival HQ: This volunteer team helps run the heart of the festival at the Expo Weekend Head Quarters. These volunteers will run the volunteer and presenter check-in, assist with presenter hospitality, answer visitor questions, and ensure all events run smoothly throughout the weekend. 

Social Media: Social media volunteers will assist communications assistant Leah Lindemeyer in capturing and creating social media content for the science festival social media accounts. The social media volunteers will also participate in e-blasts at 10am, designed by the SciFest Core team.

Floating Volunteer Support: These volunteers will assist in many different administrative tasks such as distributing food to presenters, taking count of visitors at the festival, and checking in with expo presenters during their shift. In this position, you'll get a taste of festival operations across the all teams.

SciFest Street Team

The SciFest Volunteer Street Team helps promote festival events by distributing marketing materials across the Greater Lansing Area. Volunteers will hang flyers on public message boards around campus and out in the community throughout the month of March. 

This is a flexible voluntter opportunity. Street Team volunteers are able to make their own schedule. Volunteers will pick up marketing materials at the Science Festival office at the Kellogg center, and distribute on their own time.
