K12 Programs
March - May, 2025
Inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators, and great minds!
2025 Youth Programs are still in development, but below is a glimpse of what we're planning and how you can get involved as a presenter.
Presentation Opportunities
Girls Math & Science Day
March, 2025 on MSU's Campus - More info coming soon!
We're collaborating with Graduate Women in Science to help produce their annual Middle School Girls Math & Science Day again this year! We'll share more information soon, but in the interim, we'd love to hear ideas you have for hands-on activities, talks, and demonstrations at this year's event.
Natives in STEAM
April, 2025 on MSU's Campus - More info coming soon!
In 2024, the MSU Science Festival launched a Natives in STEAM program for Native Middle and High School students from tribal communities across Turtle Island. Participants spent a whole weekend on MSU's campus exploring science, traditional ecological knowledge, and culture. We hope to bring this program back in 2025 and would love to hear ideas you might have for this year's program.
Student Sustainability Summit
May 20 at the STEM Teaching and Learning Facility and across MSU's Campus
In partnership with EGLE, MDARD, EGLE, and environmental educators across the state, the MSU Science Festival will host its second annual Student Sustainability Summit for Middle and High School students! There are three ways to participate as a presenter:
- Host an exhibitor table with hands-on activities and mini demonstrations in a flowing expo setting
- Host a tour or open house at your on-campus lab, garden, museum, or facility
- Host a sustainability-related talk or demonstration
Share your ideas!
As our team continues to develop K12 and youth programming, we'd love to hear your ideas! When opportunitities to collaborate arise, we'll reach out to share more information.
