Where Will Autonomous Vehicles Take Us?
Type: Talk or Demonstration
Autonomous or self-driving vehicles will soon appear on our streets, but are we ready for them? The introduction of a new, disruptive form of mobility carries many benefits but also has some disadvantages. These vehicles can change how and where we move, the nature of streets, and offer opportunities to remake parking lots for new uses. It is time now for communities to consider how they want to prepare for future mobility and how we can plan to gain the most from autonomous vehicles.
