Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Creative Responses to Plastic Pollution

Description:
Plastic consumption and waste is a major environmental problem that affects species in all ecosystems, especially many sea animals including turtles, whales, sharks, and fish. This presentation will highlight current ecological issues related to plastic pollution, as well as examples of exciting sustainability and waste management projects that work to clean and beautify our environments. The presentation will also feature recycled plastic crafts appropriate for any age group.

If you would like to participate in these activities during the presentation, please collect plastic bottles and containers, scissors, and sharpie markers beforehand; however, video links for each craft will also be made available after the presentation.
